Welcome back everyone, what a great start we have had to term 4. We would like to acknowledge our new students and families who appear to have all settled into our school with ease. Welcome to our Curtin Family!
School Swimming Lessons
Students from pre-primary to year six will have the opportunity to participate in swimming lessons this term during Weeks 5 & 6
The 10 daily swimming lessons are provided by the Department of Education and Training and are held at AQUALIFE – VIC PARK. This year sees all of our students attending at the same time.
As this is part of our Physical Education curriculum, it is expected that all students will be attending these lessons. If there is a medical or cultural reason for withdrawing your child/ren, we would appreciate if you could please forward a letter explaining reason to the Principal as soon as possible.
Payment: $60.00 per student for the 10 days (Bus and Pool Entry).
Any families requiring assistance with payment should seek a payment plan from the Office early next week .
Please complete and return to class teacher the enclosed enrolment form and payment of $60.00 by Friday 6 November (Week 4).
Additional information will be forwarded in the coming weeks.
The Term Planner for term 4 has had some amendments made already. This happens as dates change and/or events move. All changes and additions will be communicated via the weekly Curtin News and also updated on the Term Planner. From next week this will hopefully be available on both the website www.curtinps.wa.edu.au and also Connect.
Community After School Activites
All community after school activities (like the below two programs) are run by external organisations. These programs are not supervised by Curtin Primary School staff and all enquiries need to be directed to the appropriate organisations. We hope these programs offer some new and exciting opportunities for our students.
HOCKEY – Below you will find the details to the Junior Hockey program being run this term after school at Curtin Primary by Curtin University Hockey Club (CUHC). Parents/Guardians who have expressed an interest will be contacted by Amy – CUHC. It is not too late to join, please contact Amy directly.
RUGBY – Please see flyer below regarding a possible Rugby League program commencing this term. This program is being run by League Stars, you can find all the details below along with a link to view what the program will look like. League Stars will also be running a clinic for our school on Friday 23 October (this will be a one off clinic, run in school time).
From your P&C
Just a reminder from your P & C this week to please mark in the P & C Meeting on Tuesday 3 November in your diary. Details will be sent out closer to the date.
