Start of Term 4
Welcome back to Term 4
Welcome back to Term 4 which is looking like being an exciting and busy term to finish off what has been a very different school year.
With a busy term ahead and lots of people moving around the school we have a couple of Safe Sam reminders for everyone. We ask that parents/guardians and students please respect the road rules and drivers be mindful of the 40km school zones. We have noticed the ranger out and about so please make sure you are parking correctly and safely and remember that ACROD parking is for permit holders only.
We have enjoyed seeing so many of our students and families riding, scooting and walking to school this year and the lovely weather we have started getting will no doubt attract more, so please everyone remember Safe Sam and be mindful of students and pedestrians.
With the warmer weather upon us students will require school hats and water bottles every day. School hats and uniform items are available for purchase from the front office on Wednesday mornings and after school on Thursday afternoons.
Remember that students return to school on Monday 12 October.
School Swimming Lessons
School Swimming will be held during Weeks 5 and 6. Swimming notes will be coming home next shortly and will need to be completed and returned with a $60 payment per child.
HOCKEY – Expression of Interest
LAST CALL FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST.
Please email to register your interest ASAP to sheree.strawbridge@education.wa.edu.au
Curtin University Hockey Club (CUHC) is keen to run an eight week beginner hockey program consisting of 8 x 1 hour sessions, which will be held once a week on a Thursday 2:45 – 3:45pm in term 4, on school grounds. CUHC provides all coaching and equipment including hockey balls, cones and hockey sticks.
The cost of the program is $80.00 per child. This includes a complementary stick pack (including stick, ball, shin pads and T-shirt) for students registering for the first time.
Please note this is a community run program and will not have school staff supervising.
Containers for Change
As of the 1st of October our school became a Containers for Change collection point. From Term 4, week 1, bins will be kept within the school grounds near the side gate entry for all eligible containers. To help our fundraising please check which containers are able to be returned and recycled and put your eligible containers into our bins. We will receive 10c for each recycled container.
Please visit containersforchange.com.au to find out more.

From your P&C
Term four
We are planning to finish the year on a high, with a number of items in the plan for term 4. Our general meeting is scheduled to be held on Tuesday November 3 at 7:30pm in the staffroom at school. Everyone is welcome, there is plenty of opportunity to share ideas and get involved.
There are a number of projects around the school that will benefit from helping hands. If you have some time and energy or a great idea you’d like to work on please get in touch so we can work together to make our school even better. You can email Kelly Muller at president@curtinprimarypandc.com.au or catch me at the school gate.
