School Swimming Lessons

Swimming is fast approaching and we need all swimming enrolment forms and payments returned to the classroom teacher as soon as possible please.

Payment: $60.00 per student is to cover the bus transfers and pool entry for the 10 days .

Any families requiring assistance need to contact the office.

Additional information will be coming home next week.

Hats & Water Bottles

We ask that students follow Safe Sam and respect our ‘No hat – No play’ policy while at school. Students who do not have a hat are required to stay in the undercover area or on the verandah.

If you are missing a hat please be sure to check the Lost Property which is located outside the staff room.

Hats and all uniform items can be purchased either Wednesday mornings or Thursday afternoons or by contacting the office on 9313 1051.

We also ask that students bring their water bottles each day to school. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, students are still not allowed to drink from the water fountains but can fill their water bottles.

Attendance

Attendance at school is compulsory, and notifying the school regarding absences is a legal requirement. Absentees can be recorded by visiting the school website (see link below), by calling the office on 9313 1051 or by providing a written note.

Here is a link to our school website where you will find the Absent button http://www.curtinps.wa.edu.au/.

Zoo Excursion Kindy – Year 2

Our kindy to year 2 students are heading off, on Tuesday 3 November, to the Perth Zoo. Everyone is very excited and looking forward to all of the animals they will see and activities they will do.

Could all parents please make sure they have returned their permission slips and payment to the classroom teachers.

Year 6 Camp

The Year 6 students sound like they have been having a great time on camp and I think parents will have some very tired children when they return. They have been participating in so many new and exciting activities including archery, orienteering, geocaching and flying on flying foxes.

We are looking forward to stories and some more photos when they return, until then here are a couple.

Containers for Change Barcode

Containers for Change is off to a good start with nearly four bins filled, please keep all your donations coming. If you wish to take your cans or bottles directly to a donation drop off station, and would like the funds to go to our school, please take a photo of the below barcode as it will need to be scanned during the donation process.

From your P&C

Our next meeting is next Tuesday November 3 at 7:30pm in the school staffroom. Everyone is welcome – looking forward to seeing you there!
