Bike Education
Last year with many families having to work from home due to COVID-19, we found that more students and families were riding, skating and walking to and from school.
We are happy to announce that Curtin Primary has been successful in receiving funding to run Bike Education sessions this term with the support of “People on Bicycles”.
During these sessions children will learn safety requirements, how to ride a bike and have fun!
Children have the option to bring their own bike and helmet to these classes or there is the option below to hire a bike from People on Bicycles.
It is compulsory for all children to wear an appropriate helmet- NO HELMET! NO RIDING!
Helmets can be purchased from KMART from $5.
Training wheels need to be removed for these sessions as requested by People on Bicycles.
Children using their own bikes will need to have them at school on the following days:
Tuesday 2nd, 9th, 16th, & 23rd March – Years 2/3, 3/4 & 5/6
Wednesday 3rd, 10th, 17th & 24th March – Years 1/2, Kindy & Pre-Primary
Families wanting to hire bikes:
Bikes can be hired from People on Bicycles by returning the bottom section of the note which has been sent home and hire payment.
Helmets cannot be hired.

The below listed forms/payments need to be returned to the classroom teacher:

From your P&C
2021 AGM – Tuesday March 2, 7:30pm – All welcome and encouraged to attend.
The P&C delivers a large number of benefits to the school community and works closely with the school to enhance the Curtin Primary experience. As a team we organise events, fundraise, deliver projects and work to help improve the school experience for all. This all relies on the contribution of volunteers and there are many ways you can help. These include holding office bearing positions (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Executive Committee Member), being part of the general P&C membership, volunteering to assist with specific events/projects and participating in these activities. Many hands makes light work!
It is our goal to have active members representing our entire school community to best deliver value for everyone.
The voluntary contribution request of $5 per family as a P&C Levy is directed to the payment of insurance required for us to operate.
Keep an eye out in class meetings next week for more information. If you are interested in finding out more before then or are interested in nominating for an office bearing position (all positions are declared vacant at the AGM and nominations are welcomed for every position) please get in touch with Kelly Muller at president@curtinprimarypandc.com.au
