Welcome to 2021 at Curtin Primary School

I hope you are all ready and eager to start school on Monday.  Please let us know if you won’t be in attendance for the first day.

Parents are welcome to come into the school and walk their children to class but please be aware of social distancing and good hand hygiene.  I’m sure you all are keen to meet your child’s new teacher but I ask that you save any long conversations for after school. Entry to the school will continue to be via the gate closest to our Pre Primary and Kindy building.

We do have a few changes, as over the holidays Ms Dagostino moved to a new school.  Harrisdale North, is a brand new school and Ms Dagostino has been looking to work in a new school for some time.  Being part of a foundation staff is very exciting, so we wish her all the best.  In her place we have another very experienced teacher, Miss Vanessa Vogwill, who will also be called Miss V.  Vanessa comes from Orelia Primary and was chosen because her educational philosophy fits well with our current direction.

Classes this year will be as follows. Names of children will be posted outside each classroom door on Monday morning.

Teachers had a great 2 days of planning and professional learning and we are all very excited about the direction we will be heading in 2021.  Below are some pictures of a workshop the teachers had on education through Nature Play and using the outdoors as a classroom.  It was very inspiring.
