Representatives from Kent Street Senior High School & Como Secondary College will be running an information session at Curtin Primary School on Tuesday 23 March at 2pm in the Library for both parents and year 5/6 students who might be interested in enrolling in 2022.
Election Day BBQ and Year 5/6 Cake Stall
Thank you so much to all our wonderful parent and staff volunteers who helped run our stalls on election day. The year 5/6 class ran their own stall selling cakes, plants and jewellery, which they made themselves. They were highly professional in operating the stall and I was very proud of how well they interacted with the public. They raised $1,000 towards their camp.

Local Sporting Clubs
A number of our local sporting clubs are taking registrations now for the upcoming season. They provide a great opportunity for children and parents to be involved in the local community whilst having a lot of fun. Commonwealth Banking – School Banking Program
Curtin Primary School offers the Commonwealth Bank School Banking program to all students, thanks to our volunteer School Banking Co-Ordinator Danelle Marshall.
School Banking is a fun, interactive and engaging way to help teach your child the importance of saving. Children who deposit money into their Youthsaver account through School Banking will earn an exciting reward everytime they reach 10 deposits.
School Banking is also a great fundraiser for our school. Our school receives a Regular Savers Contribution of $5 for every 10 deposits processed per student as well as an Annual Contribution which is based on the number of students who made at least one School Banking deposit in the prior year.
Getting involved in School Banking is easy!
All you need to get involved in the School Banking program is a Commonwealth Bank Youthsaver account. You can open an account for your child in one of two ways:
Online – Visit www.commbank.com.au/schoolbanking and click on the link to open a Youthsaver account.
In branch – Visit a Commonwealth Bank branch with identification for yourself and your child, like a driver’s licence and birth certificate.
If your child has an existing Commonwealth Bank Youthsaver account they can start banking straight away. They just need to bring their deposit in every week on School Banking day using their deposit wallet.
Our School Banking day is:
Thursday (each week)
2:30 – 2:45pm
Outside the Office
If you would like to know more about School Banking, please follow the link to the 2021 School Banking program parent guide on our website http://www.curtinps.wa.edu.au/community-noticeboard/ or visit www.commbank.com.au/schoolbanking.
Here are the rewards available for 2021.

From your P&C
Everyone knows the best part of election day is snagging a democracy sausage! On behalf of Curtin Primary School P and C, I would like to thank our diverse team of volunteers who helped with the sausage sizzle event on election day. This event would not have been a great success without your help.
We are very proud to have held such a wonderful event with short notice after the P and C AGM. Well done to all of the team!
We look forward to seeing you throughout the school year and especially at our flower fundraising event on Mother’s Day in May.
Thank you!
