Welcome back to School

Welcome back we hope that everyone had a nice rest over the holidays and is ready for a busy and exciting last term of school. There is lots on the term planner this term – Golf, Tennis, Incursions, Excursions, Swimming and Graduation for those in year 6. Please make sure you read the weekly Curtin News and check the Term Planner on our website to stay up to date with everything that is happening.

With the weather set to warm up we ask you remind children to bring their hat and water bottle to school everyday.

School Photos

School Photos went home this week with most students. It is not too late to order extra copies of class, individual & family photos. Please call Midland Photographers on 9274 4767 to discuss.

Young Masters 2021 – Year 5 Students

Due to participant trends and demand we are offering a 3 day mini-course this year. Places are limited to 60 students only so we really encourage those that are keen on applying to the GATE Visual Arts program to get in early. This will give Year 5 participants a sustained and rich creative experience and assess their suitability for our GATE programme.
The course will be run over three Saturdays by professional artists and designers who will conduct a round robin of art activities painting, photographic illustration and printmaking so students get a go at everything.
As applications for Department of Education Gifted & Talented Education programs are open in Term 4 until end of January, 2021, there is a lot of interest in our Visual Arts program here at Applecross. We’d appreciate it if you can encourage interested and artistically talented Year 5 students to come along and see for themselves what we have on offer and to find out more about the application process.
