Faction carnival

Congratulations, everyone on a super Faction Carnival last Friday, which proved to be a very tightly contested event, with GOLD being crowned the Champion Faction for 2022.

To our all our amazing students, well done on your efforts and showing positive support for your team even when you were not winning. This is the Curtin Way!

An event like this needs a lot of assistance behind the scenes to enable a smooth day to occur:

We acknowledge the support our wonderful P&C and parent helpers who supplied our catering requirements on the day. Thank you for keeping the energy levels up on us all with those delicious, tasty morning tea treats!

Well done to Mrs Marshall and Mrs Di Camillo who both jumped into roles at the last minute. Your support was greatly appreciated.

To our fantastic Curtin staff, a huge thanks for your support and assistance on the day to ensure everyone was enjoying themselves, keeping safe and having fun cheering!

A huge thank you to Mr Henderson, Mrs Thompson and Mrs Cook for their assistance with training sessions across the term and your invaluable support on the day.

Well done everyone…You are all SIMPLY the BEST!

Interschool athletics carnival

We finished our 2022 Faction Carnival on Friday thinking there would be 2 weeks to get ourselves organised for Interschool Athletics…….let’s try 2 days and lodging teams and competitors by Monday lunchtime!

To our super students who represented Curtin Primary on Wednesday 14 September, you are all amazing!

You are all to be congratulated on representing Curtin PS in a positive, supportive and respectful manner which is the Curtin Way!

Our Squad is to be commended for taking up the challenge of not only competing in individual events, but also performing their best efforts in the team games with limited practice and short notice.

A big shout out to Harriet, Aiden, James and Sanoen on your individual achievements.

To our super team of helpers, Mrs Thompson, Mrs Cook, Mr Henderson, Mr Watts and Mrs Muller, your invaluable support and assistance on the day enabled our Curtin Squad to do their best and have a super day.

Well Done, Curtin! – You are Simply the Best!

Camp Quality puppet show (Kindy, pre-primary & years 1-6)

Next Tuesday 20 September, Curtin Primary welcomes the Camp Quality Puppet Show here to perform a fun, interactive show to create a supportive community for kids impacted by cancer.

A big thank you to the lovely Orlando family for organising this much-loved puppet show to visit our students.

To show our support, we kindly ask that all students bring along a gold coin donation to help raise funds for cancer research.

Nature play afternoon and book sale

Your P&C invites all students and their parents to join us in the nature playground after school on Wednesday September 21 from 3pm – 4:30pm. Come along and meet fellow parents and help us to continue to build on the sense of community at Curtin Primary School.

We will also have a wide variety of children’s books for sale at only $1 each. These books have been donated to our school, with many being brand new and we’d love to see them being enjoyed by our students.

Please note that this is an event for parents and students to attend together, Curtin Primary School will not be providing supervision for students.

Congratulations Harvey Marshall

Our year 6 student, Harvey Marshall has been selected to represent Western Australia in the 2022 12s Boys Touch Championship. This team will be competing at the School Sport Australia National Championships in Wagga Wagga, NSW.

State representation is an honour and often represents a significant stepping-stone in the ultimate achievement of senior and national selection.

Well done Harvey!
