Outdoor Classroom Day
Room 12 Enjoyed a lovely day out enjoying the beautiful sunshine.
They spent the day collecting materials around the school while making ‘Journey Sticks’.
As part of Outdoor Education Day, the students created a journey stick. We collected natural materials around the school and attached the objects onto the stick in chronological order from our walk. We created a story from our journey, to explain “where” and “why” we chose our natural materials. Some Australian Indigenous groups in the past used journey sticks to retell their adventures.
Our year 1/2 class took their reading and writing outside and enjoyed working in our newly improved garden near our nature playspace.
Our Kindy to Year 2 students went on an excursion to the Perth Zoo on Tuesday and had an amazing time looking at all the animals and participating in some interesting activities.
Year 6 Camp
Year 6 camp looked like so much fun. Everyone came back to school with lots of stories and I am sure have made lots of special memories. Have a look at some of what they got up to while away at Woodman Point.
Farewell to our Year 6’s
Wishing our departing Year 6’s all the best for high school!
