2021 Voluntary Contributions
For 2021, the school, through the School Council, must determine and advise parents of the anticipated financial costs of the educational programs at the school.
Staff have tried to predict costs for each year level taking into account the programs they are planning for their classes. The charges are estimates only and will not be exceeded nor will they be required to be paid in advance. It is our intention to continue to ask for payment for activities as they occur during the year.
The contribution component is set at $60 per student (a maximum of $60 is the limit set by the Government). This $60 contribution will be used to provide additional resources to assist students in their educational programs.

Other voluntary approved funds is a P&C Levy of $5 per family used to support school initiatives and focus areas that meet the needs of our children. We hope that all families will join our P&C.
School Contributions and Charges
Curtin Primary School Council has endorsed the schedule of Contributions and Charges for 2021. The schedule is broken into sections and will allow you to calculate all costs that they might incur throughout the school year.
The total amount of contributions parents and carers are being asked to pay is $60 per child plus an additional $5 per family P&C Levy.
Contributions are voluntary, however the quality of our teaching and learning program will be maximised when each family makes its contribution to the cost of supplementing funding gained from other sources, including the State and Commonwealth governments.
Charges for Extra Cost Optional Components
A breakdown of estimated charges for your child’s participation in incursions, excursions, activities, etc. for the year has been included. Details on charges collected in previous years has formed our charges schedule. Students will only incur costs when they are involved in a particular activity. The amounts indicated on the schedule represent the maximum charged for scheduled activities in 2021. As in the past, you will be asked to make payment for each activity as it approaches.
The charges schedule includes costs associated with:
- specific learning activities and available to all students, but conditional on a payment being made. eg. incursions, excursions, classroom cooking, etc.
- specific learning activities and available to selected students, but conditional on a payment being made. eg. PEAC.
- other activities available to all students, but conditional on payment being made. eg. school picnics, the graduation luncheon, etc.
Items for Personal Use in the Educational Program
The charge for personal use items will vary from student to student. Included with this notice is the list of materials your child will require for personal use in 2021 These personal items are to be supplied by parents.
Contributions: This means ‘voluntary contributions’. The term relates to the monies requested from parents towards the cost of materials, services and facilities used by K-10 students in the educational program.
Charges: This term refers to any costs for which payment is compulsory.
